Following a career lasting nearly 20 years with a blue chip company in a variety of roles across the UK, I made the decision to turn a hobby into a new career in photography and video. My main focus has been on villas and apartments in Spain and Portugal, but these days my work is spread across many different locations in Europe.

During 2002 - 2004 I produced videos of showhouses and developments for real estate agents and my original plan was to offer this service to home owners when I went freelance. I soon realised that the vast majority of my clients simply wanted high quality images and many private owners choose the individual property website to showcase them.

With the advent of broadband, video for properties has moved on to high definition cameras. Video is becoming increasingly popular and a natural way to promote products and services so it's something I want to go back to as an additional service in the future.

My approach to property photography is to make the house as appealing as possible to a potential buyer or holiday let and in the world full of digital cameras I always aim to produce photographs markedly better than the owner or agent can provide themselves. I take a lot of time over the editing of each image and do not outsource the post production to someone else.
